The Benefits of Urban Trees for Perth Communities and the Environment
We pass by trees every day—but how often do we really think about what they give us?
Urban trees:
-
Keep our neighbourhoods cool in summer
-
Support native birds, insects and mammals
-
Improve air quality and reduce water runoff
-
Help prevent erosion
-
Boost property value
-
Encourage outdoor lifestyles and enhance wellbeing
The WA Tree Festival shines a light on all of this—and encourages residents to play an active role in supporting and growing Perth’s urban canopy.
